Bromsgrove School Research Competition 2026
Dr Rimmer, Master of Scholars, hosted the 11th Annual Bromsgrove School Research Competition. Teams of five students had five minutes to present five slides answering this question: If humans could be genetically modified to have one ‘spare’ copy of an existing organ, which would you choose and why?
There were excellent presentations from all teams, who were praised by the expert panel of the Headmaster, Dr Tchakhotine, and Dr Morris for their professional elucidation and well-researched argumentation.
In recognition of their impressive erudition, the runners-up were Project Eve with Martha B, Merryn B, and Ella C, and the overall winners were The Bioengineers with Emily W, Verity W, Spike B, Gina B, and Charlotte S.
We look forward to the next competition in 2027 when we will be opening it to other schools for the first time.
